As my scales educated themselves
I saw you gain strength.
Meant to be the most marvelous shield
And yet used to mark my bones with blood.
I tried my best but in vain
My eyes begged for help
As they shed the pain
They couldn’t conceal
To prevent your sickening disdainAs my whole world falls down
Yours is safe as sound.
As my heart breaks into pieces
Yours sees the pages turn
Like some damn sociopath.
